Hawks Tech Live Scam

Has anyone come across a telephone scam from these people claiming their computer is infected with viruses and their computer has contacted Microsoft. They get you to give them remote access to your pc, doing god knows what.

They claim to be these people http://hawkstechlive.com/

and give the phone number 0203 239 3373

What a pain in the ass they are. :mad:

There's been a few of these type of scams recently, and a couple of threads about it too. I'd guess anyone on these forums would be knowledgeable enough not to get done, but there must be a lot of less technically literate people who get scammed.

this company phoned my grandad, he played with them for a while dragging the phone call on and acting serious about the virus, but they then put the phone down when he told them he didnt actually have the internet lmao
