Hayfever at the moment and this year?

Does anyone else get bad hayfever? Has it seemed worse this year and at the moment?

This year has been worse for me, especially with no mow May letting all the wild flowers bloom, today has been bad for burning eyes even the nasal spray I've used for years to keep symptoms in check isn't working.

Switched to allevia this year and it’s been great. It really does work for itchy eyes / nose.

Hayfever - Thread

Ok guys n girls, who's got the Hayfever kicking in? Not as bad as it can get but I'm already sneezing and the itching of eyes. I'm sure it's to do with the grass cutters, as I can walk through fields of yellow without a single problem :o

This year was the worst I have ever known. My usual prescribed remedies are not enough. I know a few people who dont normally suffer who have complained this year too.

Yeah, I don’t normally suffer but this year I’ve had problems with stinging eyes and blocked sinuses. The sinuses in particular are bloody painful.

It's actually been less bad for me than usual so far. I've had a couple of episodes of itchy eyes and stuff but doesn't touch what I've had in previous years.

I've definitely suffered worse this year. Does anyone else wake up feeling like they're hungover and got a cold? It eases after an hour or two but getting up is horrible.

No. But I often sneeze three or four times first thing in the morning. Totally stuffs my nose/sinus up. But, as I said, now that fexofendine is available without prescription it really works a treat.

Feels worse this year.

Mostly used Allevia since March, few weeks of Benadryl.

Willow tree in back is massive and still waiting to hear if it's definitely getting cut down. Suspected it has been my trigger for last ten years.

Another theory relates to my long covid, because it's common to have high histamine levels from it. Hayfever produces histamines too. More histamine, worse hayfever?

2023 has been the worst year in a long time for me. A few people I know who haven't suffered with it before are also suffering this year.

I only get it early in the year. Usually around march/April. It did seem to last longer this year, well into May

Interesting, I haven't had COVID for a bit mind due.
