Hazard Perception Test

I've got my theory test this weekend coming, which I'm quite well prepared for, doing several tests a day on my mobile.
But the 1 thing that's worrying me is the Hazard Perception Test.

I bought the official DSA driving test DVD kit, and to be honest, the Hazard Perception Test on it is utter *****.
I don't know when to click, I click when I see possible threats, i.e man walking down the street, parked car. I also click for immediate threats, child running out in the middle of the road.
But my scores always seem random, is there anyone out there that's done the test that can give some pointers?

Just click whenever you see anything that you need to be aware of pretty much. I wouldn't worry about it too much, I never did any practice and passed first time, it's just general road awareness really.

Click when you first spot something that might be a hazard.
Click if it keeps happening, ie developing into more of a hazard.
Click again when it becomes a fully fledged hazard.

3 times per movie. Job done. Obviously one video has two hazards.

Quality of the movies on the test is a lot better than those on the DVD's, and don't worry. If you get 50 or 75, it doesn't matter, once you pass, you neednt ever worry about it.

its pretty easy if you have common sense, just click when you see something dodgy.

narrow road and car comes towards you
pedestrian crossing with people walking towards it.
school kids inbetween cars
lorry reversing
car at a t junction indicating

its just all the stuff that generally makes you take your foot off the gas or brake when in the real world. its just testing that whole immediate/distant vision your driving instructor should have taught you once you figured out how to go from 1st to 2nd without stalling :) (fun times!)

As said the 3 click method is the best, click once when you think the hazard is about to happen, then again when it's happening then again for good measure. The way the system works is it gives you points which become lower the longer it takes the notice the hazard and it is possible for a clip to be obvious and you click once knowing what is about to happen but you have clicked too early and got zero points for the clip, so always click more than once and you should pass it easy. Good luck

Just as long as you get the video with the bucking horse you'll see how it works.

Don't hammer the clicks every time you see anything though, just click for when you see as hazard.

Yes, so long as you dont hammer away at the mouse you will be fine.

The clips are paced so you can do the "Seeing the hazard-hazard developing-HAZARD" clicks about 2 seconds apart.
