my 30" Hazro is doing something weird!

it was set at maximum screen size/resolution and all of a sudden the screen is getting scrambled, almost as if it is missing every other vertical line.

i have turned the resolution down so i can see what i'm doing for this, but turned it off a few times and still no difference.

any one else had this problem or know what it is?

cheers

here goes

high res

low res

hopefully someone will be able to say what the problem is.

i have an ATI 4870 which is a new edition around the same time as the monitor.

If it's a problem with the monitor itself then you'll need to take a photo of the screen, because printscreen just captures whatever the graphics card is putting out (which is likely a perfectly ok image).

contacted OCUK about getting it replaced and have been told i have to go to Hazro direct.

Hazro website says go to the reseller.

you can't buy direct from Hazro but you have to get it repaired direct?

what the hell is going on with these two!?!

Law states that the buck stops with the retailer, so go back and politely demand they deal with it.

30" Hazro RIP

well it finally gave up the ghost today, it displays the post screens but as soon as windows kicks in i get vertical stripes of red, blue, green, white etc with a rolling white horizontal band.

i told Hazro i'm not comfortable with dealing direct but by doing so i am not giving up any consumer or sale of goods rights and that i want a new replacement and not a refurb.

so lets see what they say.

how long have people had to wait to get a replacement?

the bios boot up screens are fine, as soon as windows kicks in then you just get vertical lines.

i know the rest of the system is fine as i am using it right now with the monitor off my sons PC.

we have 3 hazro 30's and so far no probs at all. the fact that it works during startup and not when windows kicks in suggests a PC/graphics card fault? have you tried the monitor on another PC? also, i've been askin around in the forum for ages: your 30" doesn't happen to be a silver does it? its just that we bought black and i can't help thinking silvers would have probably looked better! images of your setup would be great [if you can manage to get some good shots]

My thoughts as well, if it is perfectly fine during boot up it hints towards a driver/software issue. Although it could be an issue with it at native resolution (which bios/post of course isn't)

Iirc it was fine when you dropped the resolution wasn't it?
