Hazro and Radeon cards

You heard anything yet ???

I've just bought a Diplay port to DVI (DL) & going to try this, I'll feed back to let you know if i've wasted £60 :(

Also not tried flashing the card yet as I've been enjoying the new Beta AMD drivers & playing games has taken my time.

Ok, The Active Mini Display port does'nt work & wont show the Bios. Will do the same as the DVI, boot with a black screen until the windows splash !

I'll have to try flashing the Bios with a custom one...

New monitor installed, problem solved. But then I knew it would as the 7970 worked fine on the 6 year old HP monitor I borrowed to test it. It's nice to finally be able to use the 7970 that has been collecting dust for weeks.

If I do manage to get a response from Hazro, and do get a replacement it will be sold immediately - I want nothing more to do with Hazro.

Good, glad we now now... I can't get a new one as £500 is well out & the missus would notice another new monitor !

Now you've got a new Monitor I'll have no one to moan with ? lol...

Finally heard from Hazro:
We can RMA the unit if you feel there is a fault with the monitor. Hazro do not guarantee compatibility with all graphics cards and we would test a range here to ensure the monitor works fine. The only reported issue with earlier Hazro models was the BIOS not displaying during startup and the issue you have reported is not something we've encountered before.
That sounds like a get-out clause to me. Like I said to them in the reply, the new card works with 3 other screens, including an 18 year old CRT I dug out from mum's place.

We will have this unit tested on a 7970 card and are happy to issue an RMA number. So far, further tests on the card have revealed no incompatibility issues so we will be conducting a test specific to your unit.
Everything they say seems to be laying the foundations of an imminent "no fault found" response. I can see I’m going to be landed with a dud monitor. This should be a real warning to those thinking of buying a Hazro.

You cant really blame the monitor if you upgrade other hardware that stops the monitor working.
Yes I can.

A monitor has to do 1 thing, display an image from my PC. My new monitor does it, the 6 year old HP I borrowed does it, the 18 year old CRT I dug out of the shed does it.

If a monitor isn't going to work with random GPUs it shouldn't be sold.

Terrible service. If your buying cheap you might as well go with the imports as Hazro are not giving any extra service for the price. Either that or save a little extra and use a more reputable company like Dell.

Meh my rma with hazro was sorted within a week....
They even replaced the 19 month old 30" with a brsnd new model.

I say they are grreeaat
