Hazro - Any Update?

I have banding on one of the 24" [we have 3] which I only noticed after reading up on the forum - but all are pixel free and have no bleed issues...Just got a call from Hazro and asked about this 'possibility of replacing' monitor business- the 24's are perfect and are the best bit of kit we've bought in ages. I was told they 'may have to replace' if other non-firmware issues are reported on that form, otherwise pretty much guaranteed to get the same unit back. Anybody have any pics of the 24" Silver? Ours are all black and just wanted to know if we made the right color choice!
 
I have been looking to replace my 20WGX with a 26" plus monitor for over a year now.
Due to the low input lag and IPS I would buy the Hazro immediately if it wasnt being shipped with known faults.
I guess the waiting game continues.
Part of my problem is my 20WGX is still very good, I bought it from OcUK when they very first stocked it and it works perfectly, so an upgrade has a lot to live up to.
I did try the NEC 2690 but sent it back under DSR it had backlight bleed, loosefitting panel (very loose) and found the input lag a little to much as I play a lot of online FPS games, which was a shame as it was very nice.
Just my 2 cents on why I would still buy a Hazro.

That's reassuring to know. At least that puts my mind at rest a little. I will only be requesting fixes to the banding issue and have the luminance reduced.

This is what it looks like from a normal head position (eye level near the top of the screen). Notice the yellow on the bottom right.



This is what it looks like from the middle of the screen. The yellow is still there (and this isn't how I would position my monitor, not comfortable).

I don't think it's light leakage, rather the white glow from S-IPS panels, as it fades when I position my head infront of the corners. But I can't believe it should be THIS bad right?
 
My white glow is near / the same as yours.

It's one of things I dislike about my screen :/ The other two are going to get fixed when it goes back to Hazro, so I'm going to have to learn to live with my white glow.
 
Well, my screen is all packed up and ready to go! Fingers crossed I will get a spanking, totally sorted screen back by the end of the week! Will keep you guys posted....
 
So when people say it's perfect apart from the banding and sparkling issues, they don't have white glow issues this bad?

Yeah the glossy screen seems to enhance the brightness, especially of the white glow. I've been advised to turn down the backlight which obviously we can't do as we don't have backlight control. I really like the monitor, but if I can't get one with less glow then I don't think it's worth £400, and my hunt continues. I think Hazro know of this issues, which is why they quoted their ISO on 20% screen banding being acceptable to me.
 
Mine is packed up too - although I don't yet have any confirmation of pick up. I'll contact Hazro today, so the Mrs doesn't go stir crazy waiting around.

I'm gutted that I'm sat in front of my crappy 19inch Acer POS again.

Exact same situation for me for 2 weeks now (except it's a samsung) :D

The replacement 24Wi should arrive tomorrow, unfortunately OcUK forgot my emails stating that their stock needed to be upgraded, and they obviously sent me a new HZ24Wi from their existing stock ... I'm up for another 2 weeks of waiting :( Or maybe, if I am more than lucky, they sent me an "upgraded" LCD from a new stock.
 
Called Overclockers just now and they said their system won't allow them to do an exchange (?!) as it says contact Hazro if you want one. I don't trust Hazro's 20% banding ISO so I've asked for a refund and they're picking it up tomorrow afternoon :( Now I'm thinking whether I should buy another one now so it will come tomorrow too, that way I won't be without a monitor, otherwise I'll have to put up with my 15" *shudders* and wait for a few weeks...

I douby the stock OcUK have currently would have the firmware/shielding upgrades seeing as current owners haven't had these issues fixed yet so I'd hold off.
 
Anyone had any pick ups happen yet?

I've brought my monitor into work hoping some one nice will pop by to take it away :) but as it seems Hazro are not telling people when they are sending FedEx, I might be leaving my monitor in work for a while, till someone actually turns up :(
 
I don't mind if it has the banding or shielding issues as at least I know these can get fixed within a few days, as long as I can get one without excessive white glow!
 
Well, mine this second has just been picked up :)

Nice FedEx man as I was hoping :)

If they keep to their word, they should have it back to me by 11:10 on Wednesday!
