Hi guys,

I've finally made the decision to move from my dual 21" Sun Microsystems CRT monitors to an LCD screen. I've done my research, and have decided to buy two Hazro HZ24W to replace my CRT screens. My brother has also decided to pick one up after learning of the amazing quality of the HZ24W.

The only problem is the VAT. I'm planning on buying 3 of these monitors, but the added cost of the VAT adds up to a half of the cost of a monitor itself. Is there any way to purchase these monitors directly from Hazro and avoid paying the VAT?

I mean, like all things, the monitors are made somewhere in Asia right? Couldn't I buy them directly from Hazro and have them send them to me before entering the UK?

Any thoughts?

You can certainly knock the V.A.T. off - as long as you are buying through and for a V.A.T. registered company.

Otherwise you're just a tax evader.

Buying direct through Asia would require you to pay import duty - wouldn't matter anyway as the final assembly of the raw components into monitors happens in the UK with Hazro.
