I bought this monitor yesterday and going from an old dell crt i was well impressed with it BUT after 20 minutes or so when its warmed up there seems to b a build up of condensation behind the glass, its my first flat screen monitor so before i start the process of getting a replacement i jus thought id ask on here if this is normal for a new monitor of this type and will go away on its own with a little time or if there is a simple solution that will not void my warranty and could i damage it by continuing to use it?

Cheers.

well i have a digital clock with a thermometer built in its only a cheap thing so not sure of the accuracy but it reads 18.3.

well its only a day old and the first time i had it on for just over an hour then noticed the problem so turned it off, next time i tried to leave it on for about 3 hours to see if it would go away on its own. i youtubed the problem and saw a video of someone using suction pads to remove the glass on an apple screen and wiping the condensation away but i dont wanna fiddle with it and ruin my warranty.

If it's only a day old I'd leave it a couple of days, it's probably been sat inside a cold depot overnight when being delivered.

I collected it from the store but yea i know what your sayin could have been cold where it was stored, ill leave it for a few days like u say just to see if it goes away, its been on for 30 minutes now and so far no sign of it so fingers crossed.

Cheers for your time andy/paul.

yeah with Glass version, I would have left it out of the box over night. That way it gets to room temp.

Same as when you get a new fridge/freezer, you are meant to leave them inplace for some time to let the coolent level out.

Ok that makes sense, and its been left overnight now and does seem to be ok so far but its only been on for about 30 mins.

Cheers mate.
