Hi,
I have a HZ27WC which has been working fine (and is a highly recommended monitor by me btw). I've just built a new Windows 7 x64 PC based on i3570k and MSI Z77 G43 m/b and a separate Gefore 210 graphics card.

I am unable to boot the PC whenever the HZ27 is plugged in. All that happens is the machine hangs with a flashing white cursor on the HZ27 monitor, so obviously some signal is getting through but for some reason with this monitor connected it is stopping the BIOS from booting (doesn't get as far as the BIOS options screen).

If I remove the HZ27 monitor cable and boot using a second monitor all is fine. If I then connect the HZ27 as a second monitor once windows 7 has started again all is fine and the picture is displayed as it should.

I'm using a Gefore 210 graphics card that works fine on the previous system (i5 2500k, GIGA Z68 m/b) so unsure if that is the issue. Is there some incompatibility between the HZ27 and the MSI Z77 chipsets that's just preventing the monitor from being recognised and halting boot?

I've tried using a dual monitor setup with the Digimate 17" second monitor connected to the onboard graphics card and I've tried connecting both monitors to the same graphics card and finally tried connecting the 17" to a second graphics card (GF7300LE) and it always seems to be with the HZ27 connected that the boot just hangs.

Although I'm not using the supplied DVI cable the longer replacement cable I am using worked fine in the previous setup.

Any ideas? Is it the m/b, graphics card, bios settings, Hazro or me?

Are you changing any USB connections with the monitor (or does it have a hub?). I sometimes have issues when devices are connected to certain USBs on the motherboard.

If your mobo has onboard graphics it may be worth disabling it in the BIOS and see if that helps.
