HD 2900 XL??

Just wondering if there was any info about where this card is going to be launching on May 14th along with HD 2900 XT, or heck, if it even exists at all.

So, has anybody tibbits of info??

Also, does anybody know the expected launch date of the HD 2600 parts??

AFAIK the entire ATI range is launching on May 14th. There is information about the XL floating around as well, but I can't remember the specifics. I remember that it seemed like a good deal for the price though.

- That it will be single slot
- That it will be the same core as the 2900XL, just downclocked
- That it will run really hot (80-90 degress on load)

I'm really interested in this card, if it's the right price/performance then i'll be picking one up. It will be 512MB GDDR3.

Off topic, but hjgjhgdsfhsdgfhdgf on that Zotac 8800GTS 640mb....that has got to be the bargain of the century...., knowing my luck though if I order one it'll take 8 months to deliver, and everywhere will be is selling it £20 cheaper .

But is the HD 2900 XL really rumoured to run THAT hot?? It must be a single slot cooler then or something surely (kinda like the X1800XL??).

(pS: never ordered from the e-tailer thats selling the zotac...will it really take 6 weeks to deliver?? ).

might be like the X1800XL clockable to XT speeds but needs some high volts and good cooling.

just thinking that if the xl is a single slot/underclocked version of the xt, then maybeit wont have the shim the xt has, then as long as the positioning of the ddr3 is similar the 18/19xx water blocks should fit on nicely

I remember that site had 7900GTXs up at £190 when they were £300.. dodgy clock speeds.

Turned out to be the GTO that was released a couple of weeks later.

Might be seeing something about an 8800GTO or maybe a price reduction or maybe just a mistake.
