HD 4870 audio via DVI?????

i am looking at buying a Gainward HD4870 512MB Golden Sample to using my media pc, I have been told the HD4870 support audio on the HDMI cable VIA the DVI to HDMI adapter, but there is some confusion to if this it right or not

Any input would be super.

You need the DVI to HDMI converter made for the ATi cards to use it, but other than that, yeah it works and works quite well at that.
