HD 4870 cooling

Hey i just bought a XFX HD 4870.

the picture shows a different cooler than the arrived.

the newer one is quiet but has no cooling on the Vram.

do i have a right for a refund?

Also would it be better to buy some Vram heatisnks and stick them on as i get heat lag e.g. high fps then it js drops really low for a few seconds every so often.

would this fix it and would i better off buying some thermal paste or thermal pads and then sticking the vram heatsinks to the board?

i think that the vram is just getting too hot for modern warfare 2. (only game tested)

i think you should be intitled to a refund or a swap if you have received an item which doesnt fit the description of what you purchased =] send them a webnote or give em a phone call.

I used a Zalman ZM-RHS70 vram heatsink when I had my 4870 and it will do the trick for you much better than the ones in the link, which can't cope with the temps at all.

If it fits though!!!
