I haven'y had much time to tset this card yet but have a couple of problems!

I used driver cleaner and removed all old drivers and installed the Cat 8.6 drivers.

half way through i get a meassage about not being able to open some installer or something!
anyway all seemed well and 3D Mark 06 saw a huge boost from my 880GTX.
I then tried Cysis and it runs like a dog!
I have tried re installing the drivers agian but I get the same message and performance!

I thought Crysis was going to run like a treat on this card but for now it's awful......any ideas?

I alwys remeber ATI having buggy drivers years ago and now I'm thinking..here we go again!

The answer to your problem is to simply go to the Crysis folder and look for a file called Removethisborkedcraplycodedgame.exe ;)

Then play a game thats worth the hype :D

Nowt wrong with your card and drivers I reckon

I'd reinstall the game and also check for newer drivers and see if that helps.

Or you could stop being a jerk and give him some good advice.

^ Very rarely I post like I did above but in all honesty I believe that is good advice, the OP is under the impression that the game would run like a treat on this card and in my opinion has been either misinformed or has unrealistic expectations

I was being honest and yes I admit sarcastic, but not a jerk lol

The problem is with the game, not the card

Very interesting....all old saved games from my previous card run poorly yet new games run great @1920 x1200 all at high and water at Ultra High.

Does this mean that previous saved games contain some GFX info that is card dependent?

I believe they do in Crysis. Crysis in DX10 also adjusts the GFX card LUT by the looks of things because every time I exit Crysis in DX10 VERY HIGH I have to re-run my Eye-One Calibration loader to return to calibrated settings for my display which is a bit weird.

What sort of fps you get at 1920x1200 btw? I've saved my 8800GT bench which is pee-poor @ 12fps so I'm hoping to gain at least 15fps from the 4870 and even more with the modified CFG updates wich look better and run better too!.
