Hey guys...

I currently have one Saphire HD 5970,which I am more than happy with now;)just wondering whether it would be worth looking at buying another one to crossfire them.they're still about £400 so don't want to rush into anything...or maybe wait till a new GPU from AMD is out...???

any help or a view will be well appreciated

The only reason I can see for going crossfire is for looks or if you want better benchmark scores. Your 5970 can more than handle any game on the market at the moment. I advise looking to get another when games come out that your 5970 struggles with :D

Just wanna ask...how is your 6970 doing...does it support 3D gaming??
thanks

The 6970 does support ATI HD3D Technology yes but I believe that it is somewhat difficult at the moment with 3d glasses? I'm not really sure as I don't game in 3D and thus haven't looked into it.

The card itself performs fine yes, rips through games like a knife through butter. A little warmer than I would have liked but as many have said, it's nothing dangerous so I should not worry. The fan is very loud when above 45% but again, technically there is no need to go higher than that.

They have just gone up in price to £299 (I got mine for £256 from OcUK on Christmas day) so at that price I don't think I would have got it, I'd have gone for the 6950 and that would be my choice now (with current prices).

EDIT: If you're looking to improve your system - there is only one option tbh - SSD prolly an OCZ Vertex 2E. You won't regret it.

no point selling, 5970 is around £250 now, ssd is the way to go, if you have something like £400 like you said abouve go for a nice big one.
