HD 5970..

actually the HD5000 series do.
They don't support 3d bluray acceleration, but games apparently work.

You'll have to look into the details of what equipment is needed, ie it will not work with the nvidia vision kit, and you'd need to buy 3d drivers from iz3d.
But it does work.

i thought that HD series 6000 can do 3D.so what would i possibly need in order to make it work..I have LED Samsung 5800 series which i think is 100Hz-don't you need 120Hz to run 3D?

thanks for that:-)

They do support 3D.
But there's a big snag.
You need to buy an off the shelf supporting 3d monitor. ( ala viewsonic with glasses )
You need to purchase 3-party drivers and support to enable 3D in games and blueray.

YOUR TELLY ISNT 3D anyway mate. ( LED Samsung 5800 )
Forget about it.

Yes it needs to be 3D ready. + glasses + 1.4 hdmi cable + software.
It's a complete nightmare.
That's why Nvidia 3D simplifys things somewhat.
