Would anyone be kind enough to point me towards a link for the latest drivers I can use for my HD 6850M - on a HP Envy 17 Notebook.

Looking on the ATI link http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx
This shows driver Catalyst 12.3 release 3/28/12, however in the small print it advises it is not compatible with Notebooks equipped with switchable graphics, which mine has.

So I need:

1) Link to best driver so I can get best performance with BF3 (until I by a desktop that is!)

2) Help with a link to take me through the old driver removal process if it is thought this is needed.

Thanks.
Phil

On my old laptop, With an ATI 2600 HD. I used to use modded drivers. Basically someone takes the official ATI driver, mods them so they work on laptops. Toshiba stopped supporting my laptop a year after use. So i had a driver from 2008 up until I found the modded drivers.

To remove drivers. I use the standard uninstall then use driver sweeper.

Then just install which driver you see fit.

Here is the link to modded ATI drivers. I had no issues using these

Further to my previous posts, I have attached images of the my screen CPU vs GPU usage in game. An the spikes seen are from the CPU which I would not expect, would be appreciated if there is any feedback to improve things.

I had assumed the GPU was under strain - but from this (using Low settings and low resolution) it seems the CPU is under presure.

Thanks
