Hey, I have recently purchased a new mobo and another 6870 to go with my original. My original is a Sapphire HD 6870 1gb, new one is XFX HD 6870 1gb. Motherboard is gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H. I enabled crossfire and installed latest drivers for the cards. Got up fraps and tested out on BFBC2. I was getting 60 fps in some places but as soon as i looked across the map it dropped down to like 30-40. I'm pretty sure with Xfire 2x 6870's it should be way higher.

CPU: Phenom II 965 BE x4 @3.4ghz
4gb 1333mhz ddr3.

Also for some reason my pc doesnt display anything on the screen when I put my ram in dual slots!

You should try overclocked your CPU...CPU speed has huge impact on the frame rate, particular when you are looking across the map with lots of details and things happening in between...

I would overclock it but i'm stuck with the stock cooler atm, my last cooler is crap it broke one of the screws rounded off too. Can you recommend a nice cooler for around £50?

Hey i just tried to disable crossfire and run one of the cards, did a benchmark in lost planet 2. Then closed it down and went to enable crossfire again and I got BSOD with the error Atikmpag.sys.

I've just reinstalled windows as well.

Havent tried a single card yet, but its either that or the motherboard, because when i try put my ram in the dual channel slots on my mobo, it makes 3 long beeps and then 1 short. I've checked the manual and it's not in there? WTF -.-

Just put my new card in I bought recently, got some errors about drivers when I booted up into windows. Now trying to reinstall the drivers to see if that makes a difference.
