Looking at the HIS on offer but it will have to go into an Antec 300 which states that the max length for a GPU is 11".

Does anyone know the length of the HIS card?

Look at the longest dimension Plainace gave, plus it's also in cm.

29.5cm = 11.61 inches

Exactly... I'm short of 0.61" in the Antec 300. So do I mod the case or settle on a different card?

im pretty sure it would squeeze in there! i have a antec 300 case and i think im going to go for this 7950 aswell.

if not it will be easy to modify.

okay so after this question i decided to look into it myself as i too was thinking of getting this card so decided to make a template outlining the msi and the his card:

so now u can physically see the differences between the cards the his is a lot bigger.

so as u can see on the template the re is a big black marked panel this is where the his card would hit the hdd cage this works out to be 2.5cm/25mm/0.984 of the card.

the MSI fit's fine looking at the template however if you where to go with the HIS you would need to remove the hdd cage or atleast chop it back a little to get the clearance needed also the HIS card comes a lot closer to the door than the MSI it would clear though.

hope this helps:D

now whether to chop or remove the hdd cage or to get the msi..........

No there isn't I don't think, it's quieter and cooler than the Msi from the reviews I've read plus I like the cooling design blowing the air out the back of the pc rather than into the pc keeping the overall pc temps down and also it will be a very good card for cross fire due to the way it cools.
Hmmmm
