Hi,

I have a 6950 and want to see the benchmarks of the HD 7950 OC'd to a standard clock.

I tried looking around for benchmarks, but they are all old and have awful frame rates.... probably with the old drivers or something.

Can anyone give me an uptodate benchmark?

Games @ 1920 x 1080, titles such as Skyrim, BF3, and things

Some easy OC for someone like me could do.

Nah I don't care for vids as I want graphs or charts or something I can view in comparison. It's so I can use it to compare v my 6950 OC'd, or 670 or 680.

Anyone can OC a 7950. You don't need a degree in advanced physics :p
1100mhz is probably a good average OC representation and should be easy to achieve unless you have a turd of card.

Any more on the list apart from BF3/Skyrim?

No I mean an average OC clock... I know anyone can OC! :) E.g 1100 such as you mention

It's with the MSI Twin Frozr 3, You reckon I could get 1200?

There are no guarantees with overclocking.
I used 1100 as example of what most cards should be able to do on average. Many will go higher, some won't.

how does the 7950 @ 1100mhz stackup against 670 or 680? just wondered

Aye a 7950 at 1100/1500 = stock 7970 ghz performance.

1100 on the core is a good average overclock. Most 7950's will do 1100 no trouble. Even mine does it and i have a stinker.

7970's aren't bad

have mine at 1150mhz core 1700mhz memory for my 24/7 clocks, the msi tf3 looks good at the current £180 price

cant speak for NVidia but the above should match if not beat it,cant speak for the 7950 either

I have my 7950 @ 1200/1600 for 24/7 can get 1250/1840 max
In bf3 single player I see 120+ fps minimum,in multiplayer I see 92-105fps
This is all on ultra.
Hope that helps can run a bench on sleeping dogs for you does bf3 have a benchmark?

Nice scores, can you run an FPS benchmark with traps or anything coz I wanna see if it beats 670, 680 and 7970

Can u play bf3 in 3d please.. Also scores for other games you play?

Everything will help as I just need info thanks :)

I had a gigabyte 7970 Ghz edition in my old rig, had that @1200/1600.
I now have a His 6950 flashed to 6970 @950/1375..
The difference in performance between the two is night and day. especially in the games you mention.
Difference between a clocked 7950-670-680 is small, so much so that i doubt you'd notice at all really unless your benching.
Personally i'd go with the 7950 or 670 if your looking to upgrade now, or, wait until the end of October and see what the new 9*** series from AMD is like, if anything it'll drive prices of last gen cards down and you'll get a better deal.
