Hi guys, Im having a go at overclocking my HD7950 and just wondering if i have reached my maximum. Im new to overclocking as any advice would be really welcome.

Current settings
Core voltage 1100
Core clock 1100
Memory clock 1530

Iv tried upping the Core clock to 1110 but heaven crashes half way through bench mark even if i up voltage to 1200.

If i up Mem clock to 1540 heaven also crashes.

So have i reached my max?

Thanks for any feedback

Edit

From some reason image not showing but does let open on a new page.

Its the HIS iceQ boost. Just done a 10 min stress test using MSI Kombuster to check temps.
With cooling fan set to auto the fan never went above 48% and temp was sat at 60-61 degs

Wouldnt let me do it at 1.15v it kept dropping it down to 1.149v

Setting used
1.149v
Core 1110
Mem 1530
Max temp 71 degs
max fan speed 59%

Im a little confused why it ran through Heaven with 1.149v but not 1.2v

Cheers

For the love of god man resize that picture.

What's your default volts?

You probably exceeded the max voltage allowed for your card which is your default voltage + 0.125mv.

It probably overheated and crashed at 1.2v, but seems ok at 1.15v.

Now keep the same voltage and try 1125MHz core.

even though the cooling fan is only running at pretty much half speed at 1.15v?
or is it just like Matt said and i exceed the max voltage? ill check stock voltage in a minute after this benchmark has finished.

not sure what max temps was as i had to restart pc. Going on Matt input i upped voltage to 1.185 and re-run benchmark which failed at stage 20 and max temp was 71 degs. got error message saying driver had stopped working

Im a little bit stuck on the psu now though because i was going to order a coolmaster silent pro 500w but after being out of stock for ages they have now been removed from the site.
I am thinking about ordering a

so i can get my cpu overclocked and wondering if a

would be ok as i thought it would look better in windowed case with the psu matching the cooler.

If you have a poor PSU I wouldn't run the risk of damaging your components for the sake of overclocking an already capable card.
