Morning all,

I've searched these forums and the endless pages of google search .....

I've read somewhere, not sure if it was on here, about the HD 7990 only being able to run at 120hz (or below).....

My new AOC monitor is 144hz but BF4 doesn't load up if the game is set to 144hz.

It does run fine (and amazing) on 120hz though ....

anybody got any info on if this is the most it can do ?

Cheers and have a glorious day

(tried a few drivers, latest and also the beta to no avail)
(Monitor drivers installed via AOC's site)
(Win 8.1)

yup, my 7990 only runs at 120hz and below, i have the AOC G2460PQU 144hz monitor, and when set to 144hz my pc BSOD's as the 7990 cant run it.

silly, i know but thats how it is with this card im afraid :)
120hz is good enough anyway ;)

Isn't it just a driver issue? Iv read that it works on certain ones like 13.9 official and some others... It works on a couple older games for me but any intensive ones I get the bsod.

Hey chap I ad the same problem with my Asus 278 he.….if I set my desktop to 144 hz bf4 would bsod....so itryed the desktop at 120 hz andbf4 ran fine at 144 hz...give it a try m8.

Is that actually running at 144hz though? My desktop is set to 120 and i just ran assetto corsa at 144hz but how can you tell its running at the 144 and not 120? Its working though...

I asked a similar question when I first got my 144 hz monitor and was told that your desktop and game res run independently of each other SO if your game ie bf4 offers you the option of playing in 144 hz it must be running at 144 hz .

ok cheers folks -

ill try the desktop @ 120 and BF @ 144 and see if that works - other than that it looks like 120 for BF - ahhh well -
