HD cable for PS3?

Probably a HDMI cable assuming your TV has HDMI. Just get the cheapest one you can find (around £5)

HDMI. Id check on the back of your TV/manual if its there, Id be surprized if you didnt have it tho tbh. Any cheap one will do, you wont be able to tell the difference between digital cables.

Dont think i got space, my HD slot ( whatever the proper name is) is already taken up with my xbox360.

Get a splitter then if you only have one HDMI port (but do double check to make sure you are correct, you might inadvertently be talking about component leads)

A Component cable or HDMI switch would be the only other HD option. Most TVs only output at 720p via component. If your TV is 1080p you could usa a HDMI switch which basically works as 2 HDMI ports, though you will have to manually switch between the two or you could consider getting a VGA cable for the 360 then use the HDMI for PS3 (if your TV has VGA).

the slot is called a component slot, the HD cable i bought specially for the xbox360 is like 5 cables going into the back of my tv.

That's a different way to get HD, ideally for the PS3 you need to use HDMI. Check the TV or manual to see if you have one of those ports.

If you dont, then you would probably need a component PS3 lead and a splitter / switch box, although I'm not sure if there are some issues with some content and component on the PS3?
