HD caddy...help

my brother has just bought a pata HD caddy just to grab a few files off his laptops HD......when i plug it all in, it all loads fine, my laptop recognizes it but i can only access the D drive...its a 80GB HD but its only picking up the 30gb of D drive, how can i access the C?

Have you had a look in Disk Management to see what it makes of the disk?

maybe the partition is encrypted?
