Ive searched these forums and found a few threads on the same sort of thing, but im not getting a definitive answer and any links im following are punting me to hardware I cant use in a laptop (ie PCIe card).
Now as im in a right paddy about this
, please could someone help.
Basically I have:
PS3 using HDMI to play on either a 720p/1080i TV or a 1080p TV (depending if im up or downstairs)
Laptop with HDMI out port and USB ports.
What I want to do is; play on my PS3 in its current HD format and then record that via a piece of kit that connects to my laptop via USB and gives me ideally a HD recording... if not, SD would be OK if thats the only route.
Ive read about these Hauppage DVRs but they look like a PCIe card to me and as such I cant install into the laptop. Ive also seen some of the lower end options Dazzle etc and I believe the problem with these are that they force the TV in SD mode, so my playing quality is reduced.
Any advice please (links would be lovely)
