HD Comp and HD Tv

I just tried my component lead(ms) again as I've been more than happy with VGA but wanted to takeanother look.

I dont know if im doing something wrong but it looks awful in comparison,particularly seems darker and GRAW looks pants,too much red and dark areas.I'm running through Sammy HD LCD TV,the colours on the normal TV channels look fine,and the vga connection looks superb,just cant understand why it looks so bad on component,yes I have switched the switch on the lead to HD.

Anyone got any ideas?

Definitely just using the Red, Green and Blue connectors for video arnt you?

There shouldnt be that much difference between component and VGA.

Are you running at 480p, 720p or 1080i?

Yes just those 3 colours plus I tried at 720 and 1080

I noticed it looked a lot darker too. So much in fact I had to set up a new profile on my tv for it with higher brightness and contrast. Went back to VGA.

Ive notied some weirdness too with the same setup. Looking at the sky on the training level it's quite bright, then when i look lower and at a building the sky goes even brighter and the buildings go black. The contrast of the dark buildings against a bright sky are killing my eyes and as such cant play the game.

It seems strange but Ive also just tried altering contrasts and all the other settings and I can say that on my set the Vga if I rate as 100% the HDC I rate as 70%
