i have an HD2900 coupled with a Sammy 226BW on a DVI link. if i buy an HD/Blu Ray drive will i be able to watch HD films in all there glory?!

cheers

You'll be able to watch them in most of their glory. Your monitor is not large enough to watch full 1080p videos without downscaling. It'll still look great though. Your computer, assuming it's the one in your sig, should have the CPU power to deal with it.

have just watched final fantasy in 1080 on my 20" samsung 2032 and it was amazing!!!

can see me watching many movies sat at my compy desk

I've watched plenty of HD DVD and Blu ray movies on my 226BW.

As said above, looks great but image is scaled so not "true HD".

It's still a million times better than normal DVD quality. I'm really impressed.

Got Transformer in 1080 too. Anyone know if Black Hawk Down is available in hd yet?

Dang, I hate format wars, I can't even really say who's going to win on this one really as it almost appears as if half our movies will be blu-ray and the other half will be HD.

I therefore await combi drives which I'm sure have to come out (wait....that can't happen can it?)
