HD-DVD drive - need convincing

No, but say you had a game disk in your 360 (as most people usually do all the time), if you have a disk in your hd-dvd as well, whatever you put in last loads up, so you have to cancel the loading, goto the desktop and pick which you want.

If your someone who always puts disks away after using them then its not a problem, if your very lazy like me, then you wont do that, and its annoying.

I think you can turn that off in the system menu mate, I havent got the HD module for my 360, but everytime I left a game disc in the tray, turned on my 360, it launches the game, really done my head in, so I disabled it in the system options

How come you don't just set it to always boot to dashboard then? You can choose whether to play game or play HD-DVD movie.

There's an option to remove that mate, I always like to go to my dash, and update shortly after the 360 was released gave gamers the option whether to boot into a game or straight to dash
