HD HTPC spec

hi,

i'm thinking of making getting a HTPC, not really shure what hardware is good for it right now. looking for it to play HD content, won't need to be able to play games or anything. What would you guys suggest?

also, whats the best sound sytem to go for with this, a HT sytem or a pc sound system?

something like an Athlon II 240 is capable enough to do the job, something like an HD5450 should do as well

do u plan to do any ripping/encoding ?

if not, an Ion would work, they usually cost between 100 to 150 depending on whats on it.
the more expensive ones can include PSU and WiFi

they have onboard sound and can do audio through HDMI.
