HD install going wrong

hi

i have just tried to install a second hard drive and it wont work.

my pc now boots and loads off my ssd. Both the ssd and mechanical hd are showing in the bios however when the pc loads the second drive is not shown in my computer to save thins too :S

Is the SSD set as the first boot device in the BIOS?

im not sure how do i check ? iv tried going in to my bios to look at things but i dont know what it is im looking for or at...

Look at the boards manual, should tell you where to look.

Having a look again Yes the SSD is set as first boot device.

Disable all other drives in the options, so its ssd only.

made some progess but still not working....

both drives are showing in the bios its using the ssd to boot however when the desktop loads and i go into my computer it does not show the drive being available !!

Is the drive you've added, formatted?

Go into Disk Management and the drive will appear. It needs formatting if brand new

managed it... this was more complicated than actually putting the dam thing together its taken nearly 2 hours...
