HD output options with x1950pro with a crt monitor ok?

Since all monitors are HD already as in can go right high with res like 1600x1200 at 70 refresh etc like mine. I noticed with my new x1950pro agp 512mb that i can tick some HD output options in CCC. Would it hurt to try these out or not with my Hansol 19" crt monitor? Wouldnt mind seeing if it looked any better or not.
