HD Question

Say for example

I download a 1080 HD trailer for the dark knight.

My monitor is set to 1920x1080 resolution

if i play the trailer, will i experience HD quality or what,

reason im asking is just been reading on wikipedia and it states that 1080i is broadcast at a resolution of 1920x1080. Which incendently matches the resolution of my montitor and i started wondering

Yes, assuming you run full screen and via a digital connection.

1080i isn't as nice as 1080p though - being an interlaced image rather than progressive.

But yea just make sure you have the player set to full screen and you will in effect have 'High Defintion' content being played correctly

Samsung 223BW and a LGW2234s

i know i could do better but they were both cheap £50 each

Max res on both those monitors are 1680x1050 - I don't see how you have them set @ 1920x1080 so no "1080i/p" HD on those monitors.
