HD Sound Problems

Ok whenever I try to play a HD movie on my comp the sound is mucked up. On the superman trailer the voices are very quiet but the music is very loud. On the tenacious d trailer I cant hear anything at all.

Im playin it through headphones and its playin in WMP 11

ok this is gonna sound really nooby but how would i go about that lol?

nope ive pretty much messed around with everything in the sound section of control panel to no avail
