HD video editing

hey there guys. Im after a programme that will allow me to edit high def mp4 footage. I dont need any fancy tools, and if anything, all i want is to be able to cut and chop clips and merge them, nothing else needed really. The most important thing is that i dont lose any of the original quality.

Is there anything that will allow me to just cut and merge without having to re-export, therefore affecting the quality?

Any other suggestions greatly appreciated

I have absolutely no idea if it'll do what you need, but have you tried Windows Live Movie Maker?

hey. it kind of works, but when i try to export the vid in full hd it isnt full screen for some odd reason. Any other suggestions from anyone would be welcome

are you willing to pay for it? Adobe Premiere Elements can be had for £50-60. Have both the Elements and its big brother Premiere Pro, and at that price, the Elements is superb value. Other ones id mention, Sony Vegas, which i find more user friendly but output quality not as good as Adobe, but still very good.

where can i get elements for that price. When i try to order through adobe, it seems to be around £77?

I use premiere to edit my camcorder clips, vegas seemed unfriendly to me.
Premiere for editing, Splash Lite or PRO for playback.
