Hi i need to put a hard drive into 5 & quater inch bay, they used to have kits for this any one know what they called and maybe some place to buy ?

Hard drive silencer, hard drive convertor brackets as mentioned, internal hard drive caddies or even suspending the drive on rubber cord will all do the job for you but in slightly different ways.

Re suspending the HD on a rubber cord, doesn't the HD have to be earthed? ie touch the case.

Not that I'm aware of, I've had hard drives sitting on my desk or cardboard boxes before while I'm copying data. Now I might just be a bad example but I haven't found it to be a problem.

Nexus double twin - holds two hard drives and has rubber mounts to help damper hard drive vibration. I found them for £6.50.
