HD2 not getting any signal from any network.

Hi,

I have an HTC HD2 which I use all the time in Singapore without an issue.

On arriving in the UK for a holiday to see the family my HD2 cannot get any reception. My wife has a HTC Desire and it is having no issues with her being able to use it here.

Any suggestions ?

Singapore uses 900/1800 so everything should work fine. At a guess - roaming not enabled on home network or phone not set to allow roaming or phone stuck in something like 3G access only mode which might stop network signal setup during roaming.

Is it PAYG? One of my US PAYG phones the carrier doesn't allow roaming.

Sorry for the late reply.

I got a PAYG sim card in the end and it worked fine.

I believe you are right, the roaming was turned off.

Strange thing is that when I popped over to Malaysia for a long weekend they turned it on automatically and then proceeded to charge me S$10/month until I asked them to turn it off again. This time they did not turn it on.
