HD2600pro fan noise

I have just installed vista 64 on my 2nd pc, the fan on my HD2600PRO seems to be going flat out all the time, so I can now hear it when I’m trying to sleep, with XP I never had this problem,, the strange thing is when the pc switches of the monitor due to inactivity (powers down) the fan speed drops!!
Any ideas what I could do to adjust the fan speed, it’s beginning to get on my nerves.
Have tried rivatuner and ati tool, either off them works well with Vista 64 and I couldn’t find any fan control adjustments.

use ati tools 0.72b2. it as fan control for the 2x00 series..

what % is it running at now?

sorry but i cannot see any way of adjusting the fan speed in ati tools..

open atitools, click settings, then in the top drop down menu select fan control
