Hi,
I have just had a quick play with AMD GPU clock tool and got my His HD2900 up to 850/1000 without any trouble (10696 in 3dmark06 with lots of background apps running :D).
My temps maxed at 72deg during 3dmark06 so might have some more headroom yet.

What clocks can these cards do safely and what max temps should I begin getting twitchy at?

It seems you can clock the **** off these cards but I wonder what this means in real gaming terms and would be interested to see some benchies with comaprisons to the GTS with overclocking. :)

In the exact same situation as you and been posting in this thread

Not sure how far they can go either and dont want to damage it so waiting for some one to give me something to aim for!

You can go up to 860 core, but any more causes ATi vpu recover to be activated. From what I've heard the mem can go a fair bit further than 1000mhz, but I haven't tryed any thurther than that :)

My stock score is 12288 in 3dmark06 but i noticed something weird when i overclock using the AMD gpu clock tool.

When i up the core to 840 and keep the memory at the same stock speed i get 13000.

When the core is at 840 and the memory is increased to 1000 i also get 13000.

At stock the memory provides over 100GB/sec bandwidth. Maybe any increases just won't help?
