hd3870 harddrive

i just got my hd 3870.it says connect card to power supply which is obvious ,but also to connect to drive c.that is the bit that confuses me.
any one know whyconnect to drive c?

Something doesn't sound right here. Just connect it to the power supply and then give it a try.

Are you sure it wasn’t telling you to install the drivers to the C drive or something?

yes it definetly says that, big sticker stuck on the outer cellophane on card which shows connection to card to powersupply to hd c.

im guessing its refuring to the splitter cable that comes with some cards to take power from psu and split between gfx and hd.
