at first when i installed this card i had no problems , but for the last few days i have had game crashes/freezes . at first i thought it was my mobo over heating , but just now i got the infinite loop error . it said it was either a hardware problem or driver , i have tried all drivers since 7.9 and still get the same problems . have i got a duff card ? , it is only a month old and is the ocuk version (triplex model)

i have the same card and i had problems with it but only in some games, after lots of testing i found that the gpu was undervolted. fixed it by doing a simple voltmod.

you can test if its under volting by under clocking the cards gpu down to about 750(thats where mine ran perfectly without a voltmod.

or an even better way is to get hold of a multi meter and manually check the gpu's voltage, i can help you with that and the voltmod.

that would invalidate the warrenty would it not ? , but it has run ok till a few days ago . how do you check the voltages any ways ?

yes it would if you voltmodded it and seeing how yours is still in warranty i would send it back if found faulty.

i wont be held responsible if you do any mod to your card and it fails.

theres a pic in this thread, the four large solder points on the top right are where you check the gpu voltage, get your multi meter and set it to 20v DC and put the ground wire to the chassis and the positive cable on to the bottom solder point of those four that go down vertically on the top right of the pic. you need to be running a 3d app while testing this so you know what the full load values are.

stock voltage is 1.32v, mine was 1.29-1.30v and upping it to the stock 1.32v fixed all my problems. as i said, yours is still in warranty so you should send it back if its undervolting.
