HD4670 Media Center Video Problem

Just installed my new Powercolor HD4670 (512Mb) and I'm having some issue with it in Media Center, watching Live TV.

After a few minutes, the video will go blank - the audio will continue but I just get a black screen. Stopping and restarting the video corrects it. This morning I was watching BBC One and the video seemed to get stuck in a loop, playing a few frames of video over and over - again with the sound OK.

This card is an upgrade from an 1900XTX (it had its own issues with video smearing, hence the upgrade).

I uninstalled the drivers (8.9) that were already on, installed the new card and then installed the 8.10s (skipped using the driver CD that came with the card).

MB: Intel D975XBX
Audio: Auzentech Xi-Fi Prelude
TV Card: Hauppauge Nova-T-500
Memory: 2 x 1Gb Corsair
TV Connection: DVI->HDMI adapter (connected to a Pioneer 435XDE)

Anyone else experienced this? Or have I just replaced one problem video card with another?

Whats the temps on the card? Might be a heat issue.

ALso some people are having video play back problems with the 8.10 so might be a driver issue. Worth trying the 8.9 to see if it goes away (this has worked for some peope with sound and no video)

It would appear the 8.9s are a non-starter, doesn't look like support for them is in the driver until 8.10.

The card isn't detected when installating the 8.9s

I'll try the full rebuild next and see how that goes...
