Hello.
I have had my current gfx card (Sapphire HD 4870 512gb) for about 6 months now and runs all the modern games fine, tf2, l4d, css, cod4 and 5, FEAR etc.
However, even though I don't play cs 1.6 any more some old friends wanted me as a merc, so I quickly downloaded the game and started playing.
Between 2-10 mins on average in game, it crashes, screen goes grey with vertical lines and looping sounds. No bsod at the end either and I cant ctrl-alt-del out also.
I have teh latest drivers ect, and i have tried reinstalling CS including deleting the folder as is recommended.
Is this a known problem? I have heard others have a similar problem, though no clear result. It just worries me that my gfx card cant handle this 10year old game.
Any help at all would be much appreciated.
Setup
