I have a 4870 1gb that has 2 pci-e power connectors (i'm guessing both need to he plugged in?), and only one psu-> pci-e cable. In the box was a 2x4pin -> pci-e converter. But both 4 pins are male, and the modular slots on my psu are also male. So i bought another converter, that is 2 female -> male 4pin. Can i plug the two female 4 pins, into the PSU, then one of the 2 males from the 4pin->pci-e into the female of the _4pin male->2x4pin female_, and into the gfx card?

*Do this at your own risk, and if you end up frying yourself and or card, please don't sue me!

What power supply do you have? Will it definitely have the juice to safely power a 4870?
