Hi guys,

I'm looking to upgrade my trusty HD4890. Its been overclocked and has served me well but I fancy a bit more gaming performance for Skyrim and Diablo 3. My cpu is a Q6600 @ 3.5ghz so Ill need a card that won't be bottlenecked by that and my budget is around £100, could maybe stretch a little further if it was worth it.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

How about this?

I also upgraded from a 4890 to 6850 mainly for better acoustics and DX11. It should be faster than the 4890 but don't expect anything earth shuttering.

if you're res is 1680x1050, the 6850 will be a little beaut especially if it has a decent vrm controller and you can clock it. I upgraded from a 4870 to a 6850 but it didnt cut it enough for 1920x1080. The main thing is how cool the 6850 runs and it doesnt use 70w at idle lol.

Another vote for the 6850 which is on offer, for anything that offers a more substantial upgrade such as a 6950 you're looking at twice as much money unless you can source a cheaper one second hand.

MSI 6850 OC for sure. The price is amazing @ £84 and it's a decent card even for 2011-2012 games. You can hit 40 FPS on BF3 ultra settings (maybe more) and you shouldn't go below 25 even with loads of things going on.

You had better hurry if you want the discounted price though. ;)
