HD5770 Temp/Fan Query/Issue

This MSi program looks good, just don't understand gets what's happened to the CCC.

Anyway thanks for the fix, don't think I will be able to get the speeds you are getting on your Sapphire, I take it you have a different revision?

I am perfectly happy with the card just been bugging me to see the temps above 90 degrees and not understanding why CCC as not activated the automatic fan speed.

This is the one I have.

I've got a Xigmatek Midgard case, which is classed as a "Midi" case, its got a front and rear fan, and I use an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 pro rev 2 CPU cooler, nothing special really!

haha - same as me.

Strange then how we have seem cards and chassis yet yours is cooler and appears to clock better then mine.

Overclocking I think is different with each card, but the temperatures should be the same. I'm running catalyst 10.4 if that makes any difference

Ive had the side of the case of today just listening to fan and making sure its been working ok and it was fine so happy with that.

I wont get bogged down in the graphics card overclocking because it will be something that plays on my mind (why cant I achieve what others have) but I do feel my ambient temperature is a factor.

Pretty sure I could get the Q6600 to 4Ghz but its just gets a little warm for my liking.

No i'm using the H50.

The Q6600 is a hot chip ;) bare in mind the default clock speed is 2.4Ghz and i'm running it at 3.85Ghz

My last AMD Chip a Phenom II @ 3.5Ghz was indeed a lot cooler and ran under 50 degrees C at full load.
