Right this is a long winded post so grab a cup of hot brown and get comfy
About 3 weeks ago I had to RMA a Gigabyte HD5850, Gigabyte said they had repaired it, the problem with the card was that its 3D clocks were 710/900 instead of the default 725/1000... I put the repaired Gigabye HD5850 graphics card back in my PC and all was well, clocks were fine (I assume they flashed the BIOS or something) and gaming worked as expected.
2 Weeks pass without issue, Until I try and Run 3DMark11, during the run I get a BSOD, I thought it might be caused by my 4 Ghz overclock on my Core i7 920, I ran OCCT CPU stress test and sure enough it BSOD on me after 25 minutes, I then backed the Overclock to 3.8Ghz but this also resulted in a BSOD. Next I tried 3.6Ghz with the same voltage as I had been using for 4Ghz and this seemed stable, I ran OCCT for 7 Hours without issue.
Next day I booted the PC and received a BSOD apon start up, I then tried booting up at 3.4Ghz which also gave me a BSOD. Someone suggested that I reset the CMOS, so I did that and tried using my 3.6Ghz OC and that worked for about a day, after that failed again I decided to just run at stock and set my RAM to its rated values to ensure stability (or so I thought).
Running at stock worked for about 2 days, but today has been a complete nightmare, 6 BSODs in about 1 hour... I decided to check GPU-Z just to make sure my cards (I have 2 x HD5850's) were running correctly, I was shocked at what I was seeing...

So there you have it 4 rops and a core running at 2500Mhz aswell as temps upto 315C...
Im really annoyed that I payed £12.50 postage to RMA this graphics card and now I have to RMA it again....Not a happy bunny.
So thanks for reading, and hope you guys have a merry x-mas!
