HD5850 & three monitors?

ATi have list of which adaptors work and at what resolutions they work up to, can't remember the address though. but a quick search of amd site should find it

Currently thinking about getting another 22" screen res 1680x1050.

Would I be able to get away with getting a passive adaptor rather than a active one?

No, I've seen vids on youtube of issues like flickering when using a passive adaptor. Needs to be active.

Grrr. Can anyone suggest a good 22" monitor to go with this, that has a display port connector, for the cheapest price possible.

Yep, either an active adaptor, or the monitor needs to have displayport. I think you can have different monitors though, as long as one of them has the displayport, however you then have the issue of calibrating the screens, and the different monitors possibly having different colours.

Also, one more thing, does anyone know of how the 5850 performs in eyefinity and what the maximum settings that I'd be able to play using three monitors at 1680x1050 each? No reason in getting it if the frame rates would be rubbish.
