HD5870 Crossfire Problem...

Hey folks,

Having a strange problem with 5870 XFire in my Win7 x64 machine.
During 3D apps/games background/foreground images and textures will strobe horizontal lines in the green/yellow spectrum. This doesn't occur on the desktop.

Disabling XFire software-wise (leaving cards in situ), the games play normally. Have tried restarting which results in the same problem.

Still need to try swapping the cards over in single-card formation to see if the slave card is faulty.

This happened during DOD:source and has played games perfectly for about 3 weeks without any problems at all. Using the latest drivers 9.12.

Any ideas or similar issues?

Have you tried the hotfix?

Also is it just graphical corruption or perfoormance as well ?

What hotfix is this?

I've tried all drivers now and all have the same issue.
This issue is purely flickering graphics - no loss of performance.

I'm going to test each card individually now!

Strange.

Both cards run perfectly by themselves - just not in crossfire.

I installed the crossfire setup again, and found that Hotfix (from 15th Dec) and it seems to have resolved the issue (touch wood!). Cheers.
