Now I know there was a problem with screen flicker due to low 2d clock, but that was fixed, it's now at 400MHz.

Problem is, every now and again I get a flicker on the second monitor, no idea what could be causing it, I've not got ATi Overdrive on and the cables are plugged in properly.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

I get it too.

One thing i did notice digging around in CCC, was my primary monitor is an LCD, and CCC shows it's refresh rate at 75hz. My secondary is a TFT, and shows its refresh at 60Hz. I'm sure these are the wrong way around, so I wonder if the flickering is caused by the graphic drivers getting confused about which monitor is which.

Does thie flickering only happen during particular activities? I get two or three flickers when I start watching a YouTube video, or change from one video to another. Other than that, mine's been a pretty solid and reliable setup (touch wood). Which driver are you using, and have you got the latest Application Profiles selected?

I was under the impression it was something to do not just with the core speed but with the memory speed. I did have this problem on one set of drivers which caused the memory clock to sit at 300MHz i think (which is the idle speed when you have just 1 monitor) when working normally my idle clocks are 400MHz on the core and 1000MHz memory, stops the screen flicker.

Which set of drivers are you using and what is your reported memory speeds? You could try with something like afterburner and force the memory to 1000MHz (or whatever it is on a 5870, 1200MHz?) this should stop the flicker.
