HD5970 Flickering on DisplayPort

Unusual, I've had my monitor plugged into DVI, and no problem.

I'm gearing up for Eyefinity, so I've laid an extra DVI cable, and switched to using DisplayPort on my centre monitor.

Note. I'm just using one monitor.

Once I did that, games / 3DMark06 all flickers.

I've not overclocked it, tried using the GPU tool to lock the settings.
I set it, test, but still flickers. Subsequently the tool only opens in the "thermal Sensors" tab, clicking on "Clock" tab crashes it.

I've switched back to DVI on the monitor, and there is no flickering!

Any suggestions?

I'm using the drivers from the box. Haven't installed any Catalyst, or the beta 5 on AMD's site.

Hope it's sorted in the next Cat drivers...

It will probably be fixed in a driver update.

Same issue. I think it's an issue with the adapter design, as it was discussed in another topic. I've just hooked it up to DVI instead.

I'm using DP on my 3008 without any flickering at all, its perfect, drivers (i think) are 9.10s

Sure it couldn't be the dapter itself?
Running a 5870 fine with a DP. Directly with a DP cable, no adapter.

its either the adapter, or you are overclocking the card..turn off the overdrive and see what happens

I have a similar problem with my 5870. After a bit it starts to flicker. Its going back on wednesday and iam getting a new one. Cant be sure but seen other ppl with the same problem.
