HD599 + GSX1000 upgrade

I've been on the above setup for a few years now, and I fancy an upgrade. 80% gaming 20% music is there a worth while step up out there yet for me?

Are you wanting the psuedo surround effect or are you happy to be moving to a high quality dac?

Don't want to loose any sound stage, but don't really mind when I change too.

Creative X7 and AKG K702 or K712 Pro.

Maybe better options than the X7 if you don't need speakers.

AKG K702 would be better for details.

On sound card side I would wait for Creative's "Procect Accent" sound card using Super X-Fi tech, which uses photos of face and pinnae to customize HRTF algorithm.
